Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
